NCSL Conference (Day 3: Part 1)

Today I am attending Day 3 of the NCSL Conference, and of course it has surprised me once again in the aspect of diversity. When I woke up today, I thought my mentality was very diverse, but in fact, it was not as diverse as I would have perceived. Another key concept, I learned was that the key to being a leader is to be able stand up and take the initiative, even when the odds are completely against you

Sentiments of Life (04.09.2011)

Think about the stigma we put on words, such as the N-Word, the B-Word, the F-Word, even the word special, are they really bad? Or is it the stigma we put on it.

I believe, a word is just a word, until we as human beings define it's meaning and the power it has, whether it be for positive motivation or negative retribution.

Think about what happens if no-one takes the initiative to stand up for what is right in context to Germany.

- When they came for the Jews, I did not do anything.
- When they cam for the writers and thinkers, I did not say anything
- When they came for the those of color, I did not say anything
- And When they came to me, I turned around, and around yet there was nobody left.
