The Pinnacle Of Success

Success is what every human being strives for in the end. However, today’s quote revolves around a thought process I have had this week, and on whether a certain obstacle that has stained my past; Can it be utilized as a pinnacle, a blind fold or can it be neither.

Sentiment of Life (04.29.2011)

Today, I learned that success is formed by obstacles, the lessons you learn as well as your experiences. However, in the same manner, obstacles are always multi-tier and they leave you with pain, and the questioning of Why. While, this pain is part of the healing, it should be used as a pivotal but not as a foot stool to your success.

Obstacles in your past, experiences that have made you stronger, utilize them as a pivotal of perseverance to achieve the long-term plan.

True success is not created from those who said you can’t but, it is an embodiment of every single person who said you can.

This blog post is in actuality, a sentiment of life that evaluates the true value of time and it’s affect on ones future. Remember, that all decisions create paths to and fro ones destination. Similarly, life is really just a series of streets in an unfamiliar town; with no map, no GPS navigation in this eerie location relies on the decision of the driver.

Sentiment of Life (04.28.2011)

1. Time is solely reliant on the value we give it.

2. Those who dwell in the now of today and the immediate of tomorrow, stay trapped in a never-ending cycle of defeat and surprises.

3. However, the entities that shatter the figments of the present to cross to the never-ending opportunities of the future; their visions shall become reality

4. There is always a positive in loss, a lesson to be learned in defeat. Your interpretation of the final result determines the true impact on your life through the ebbs of time.

Student Success Thesis: (Part 1)

Student Success is a debatable topic in the realm of education. As a student myself, I have a personal opinion on student success. My thesis of course would take a few pages to outline, so in my blog over the next month or so, I will be throwing out bits and pieces of my analysis on how to make a student successful.

Student Success is based on three stages of student development.

Awareness, Interaction, and Engagement

Sentiments of Life (04.22.2011)

I would like to define the two pinnacles of college life: Academics and Student Life
Academics in terms of student life are similar to individuals who were just taught how to drive, with only 40 hours of driving experience.

Student Life is the measurable length of time for a human being to, become an experienced driver, to determine your own feel of the road, and to become comfortable of the twists and turns that lay ahead.

Academics and student life go hand in hand. They are a circle of life for student development. They are the keys to unlocking, the three stages of student success, Awareness, Interaction and Engagement.

The Truth of Words

On a personal standpoint, words have been the fore bringer of success as well as defeats in my life. Words are many times the reasoning to my perseverance business, college life, as well as myself as a human being. I would like to ask anyone who reads this post to do the following.

Give a simple Thank You, to someone you know. You can thank them for anything, whether it be for feeding you, to driving you home, to being able to support you in everything that you do.

Sentiments of Life (04.20.2011)

Words are the most powerful of all tools, transverse in itself, as seeds of doubt, or powerful lessons of phenomenal growth. However, in the end is the receiver of these words that determines their direction, their purpose, and their purpose of your destiny.

Even the smallest thanks, in terms of words can become the small token of appreciation that leaves a precursor to a blooming flower of happiness

NCSL Conference (Day 3: Part 3)

Today, the 3rd day of this conference, I received a text from the organization I am part of, stating, that they were not happy on where Phi Theta Kappa was going. After this text, I became very defensive and frustrated.

During this conference, I learned about a concept known as Win/Win. Taking this concept in hand, in time I realized that why should I worry about this? If our team members are motivated to improve our organization, than there is no rightful reason to say anything against it.

I came to this conference with two goals, increasing knowledge in both organizational psychology and marketing. However, what I did not expect was to have a complete alteration of my leadership style. After, attending today’s seminars, I realized that each conflict of ideas that teams have can be solved by creating a plan where both parties get what they want.

Sentiments of Life: (04.09.2011)

A Win/Win situation is like a tug of war between two teams. Rather than tug at the rope, both teams drop the rope and state we both win. How did they both win?

Neither team fell on the ground; thus neither team lost. Both teams were standing at the end of the game thus both teams won.

This situation is a defacto of life. Winning and losing are solutions in itself, but when everyone wins, it is not only a solution it is catalyst for growth.

NCSL Conference (Day 3: Part 1)

Today I am attending Day 3 of the NCSL Conference, and of course it has surprised me once again in the aspect of diversity. When I woke up today, I thought my mentality was very diverse, but in fact, it was not as diverse as I would have perceived. Another key concept, I learned was that the key to being a leader is to be able stand up and take the initiative, even when the odds are completely against you

Sentiments of Life (04.09.2011)

Think about the stigma we put on words, such as the N-Word, the B-Word, the F-Word, even the word special, are they really bad? Or is it the stigma we put on it.

I believe, a word is just a word, until we as human beings define it's meaning and the power it has, whether it be for positive motivation or negative retribution.
__________________________________________________________________________

Think about what happens if no-one takes the initiative to stand up for what is right in context to Germany.

- When they came for the Jews, I did not do anything.
- When they cam for the writers and thinkers, I did not say anything
- When they came for the those of color, I did not say anything
- And When they came to me, I turned around, and around yet there was nobody left.
